Belinda Oldfield - Board member

Term on HIE Board

Belinda joined the Board of HIE in April 2016.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Belinda has 30 years’ experience in the public sector and has been a senior leader in the water industry in Scotland for the past 25 years. She is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) with a Master’s in Business Administration. She has a strong business, risk management, revenue, and asset management background coupled with a track record of infrastructure investment delivery gained in both the private and public sectors.

EXTERNAL POSITIONS

In addition to being Non-Executive Director of Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Belinda is a Non-Executive Director of the Scottish Government and a Non-Executive Director of Northern Ireland Water where she chairs the Risk Committee. She is also a member of the Strathclyde University Audit & Risk Committee. 

She is a member of ICE Scotland Public Voice Committee. She is a past President of the Institute of Water Scottish Area, and past Chair of the Institute of Water Scottish Area Committee. Belinda spends a lot of her time in the highlands and is a keen supporter of Women in Science and Engineering and continues to mentor women across the UK.
